“ Le Comptoir de l’Encens” is a subsidiary of “Les Encens du Monde” company, especially created for internet.

 “Les Encens du Monde” company was created in Montpellier and has been dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of quality incense since 1993.

 In the same capacity as wine, music, literature or cooking for example, we view incense as an original media, a cultural, historical and social expression and an ingredient of the art of daily better living.

 Contrary to sticks perfumed in perfume baths (the most widespread “incenses” in trade) our incenses are the heirs of sometimes very ancient traditions and are essentially made from plants.

 The aromatic essences have an effect upon our environment and our state of being: part of our vocation is to develop better knowledge of their effects and of their daily use.

 Faced with a globalisation of taste, that is replacing local know-how everywhere, it is particularly important to us to protect the authentic nature of products and to cultivate with our partners in India, Japan, France and Europe, fair partnerships based on an ethics charter. 

The web is a new geographical space which enables us to develop the knowledge and use of quality incense. This is what we are achieving with “Le Comptoir de l’Encens” in the same capacity as other internet merchants.

 “Les Encens du Monde” incenses are distributed by a network of around  2, 000 retailers throughout the world, 1,000 of which are in France.
